Constable (Veterinary)

• 10th class pass with Science as main subject from a recognized Board
• One year experience in treatment of different species of animals, in a recognized Veterinary Hospital

Constable (Driver) only for male

• 10th class pass from a recognised Board
• Must possess valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License

Constable (Gardener)

• Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised board
• Two years work experience in respective trade OR One year certificate course from a recognised ITI/Vocational Institute with at least one year experience OR Two years Diploma from recognised ITI in the trade
• Must qualify trade test

Constable (Water Carrier)

• Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised board
• Two years work experience in respective trade OR One year certificate course from a recognised ITI/Vocational Institute with at least one year experience OR Two years Diploma from recognised ITI in the trade
• Must qualify trade test

Constable (Cobbler)

• Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised board
• Two years work experience in respective trade OR One year certificate course from a recognised ITI/Vocational Institute with at least one year experience OR Two years Diploma from recognised ITI in the trade

Pay Scale & Other Details

Other Allowances: Dearness Allowance, Ration Money Allowance, House Rent Allowance and other allowances as admissible in SSB.

Pension: New Pension Scheme or Unified Pension Scheme as applicable.

Selection Process

The Selection Process for SSB Constable Tradesman Recruitment 2026 will be completed in the following stages:

• Stage I: Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Standard Test (PST)
• Stage II: Written Examination (CBT) – 100 marks, 2 hours duration
• Stage III: Documentation & Skill Test – 50 marks (qualifying)
• Stage IV: Detailed Medical Examination (DME) & Review Medical Examination (RME)

PET Standards: 4.8 Km Race in 24 minutes (Male), 2.4 Km Race in 18 minutes (Female)

Written Exam: 100 objective questions (General Knowledge, Mathematics, Reasoning, English/Hindi).

Minimum Qualifying Marks: UR/EWS/OBC/ESM – 50%, SC/ST – 45%

Skill Test: 60% minimum qualifying marks for all candidates.
